#BR4 china hungary

Ties between China and Hungary have expanded rapidly in recent years, with advances made in political, trade and people-to-people relations. The Belt and Road Initiative and the "16+1" cooperation mechanism have pushed China-Hungary relations to a new level. According to Chinese Ambassador to Hungary Duan Jielong, "the relations between China and Hungary have entered the best period in history." Hungary signed the memorandum of understanding over China's Belt and Road Initiative in June 2015, becoming the first European country to establish a Belt and Road working group with China, which signifies a successful docking of the China-proposed initiative with Hungary's "opening to the East" policy. The building of the Hungary-Serbia railway, an important cooperation project, has progressed smoothly. Furthermore, the China Railway Express from Chinese cities, such as Xi'an, Chongqing and Changsha, arrived in Budapest last year. China is Hungary's most important trading partner outside Europe. Last year, trade between the two countries exceeded 10 billion U.S. dollars. hashtagbeltandroad hashtagsilkroad hashtagBRI hashtagHungary hashtagCEE

Dear Lord Davidson

My father Norman Macrae  www.normanmacrae.net at The Economist predicted 40 years ago that 2018-2023 would be extremely innovative if :
we helped youth navigated 1000 to 2000 times moore tech
we connected English and Chinese speaking youth in every educational and coding way possible

whilst I live in Washington DC I travel to Beijing every few weeks during the student year to try and help multiply youth connections- in particular i believe all youth should understand connections with Tsinghua, aiib and 21st C learning.
In march 2019 the biggest report yet in digital cooperation is being released by UN with inputs from 20 nations perspectives including China's Jack Ma and US's Melinda Gates. We believe it is critical that teachers and students maximise access and debate of this report

If there might be any synergy between your work to connect futures, my co-workers and i would love to try and help in any way

yours sincerely
Chris Macrae
PS Dad's last project helped adam smith scholars develop a new journal- it aims to connect extreme tech and community solutions between the 2 most populated regions s asia and china and has helped us understand inter alia how jack ma and brac in dhaka have reached this year's partnership at www.bkash.com we believe there is a lot for Scots who want to celebrate sustainability and deepest women empowerment tech to connect and do now...

#br4 budapest  maths people educated there, hungarian school of economists contributed so much to world of free community entrepreneurship - it breaks my heart that the extreme anti-youth regime dictated out of the european union is direct cause of a viral populism- i was so lucky to see budapest on one of its last beautiful days hosted by george soros celebrating the open society wonders of fazle abed and paul farmer- cheered on by the then multi-culture multi-linguistic central euroepan university- along with hungary i have been deeply privileged to chat to youth in Ukraine and Poland at times  when hope was still rising- does every european century have to start with arrogant elder big brother european bureaucrats destroying youths hopes , lives and livelihoods chris.macrae@yahoo.co.uk

Refreshed WTM Ministerial Summit to Tackle Innovation & Technology Investment

Madrid, Spain, 24 September 2018 – Investment in innovation and smart management for tourism will form the major theme of the Ministerial Summit of this year’s World Travel Market, to be held in London, UK (6 November 2018). The 2018 Summit, a joint initiative of World Travel Market and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), will debut a revamped format
This year’s World Travel Market (WTM) will introduce a disruptive new format to the long-running UNWTO/WTM Ministerial Summit. With the private sector crucial in setting the tourism agenda, private sector leaders will be involved for the first time via a panel on investment in tourism technology. This will be followed by a round table of both ministers and private sector to discuss a way forward for tourism that includes stronger public-private partnerships and an agenda for the sector’s digital transformation.
The 2018 Summit will be hosted by CNN’s Richard Quest, anchor of Quest Means Business. Developing an innovation ecosystem, data-driven decision making, digital destination branding, and the role of government and policy in smart tourism management are among the topics to be addressed this year.
The Summit reflects on a hyper-connected and informed world where tourists are one click away from their next destination and share their interests and emotions in real-time – and where technological advances have an exponential impact on management efficiency and sustainability. It will expand its practical impact with a focus on creating and exchanging innovative ideas and partnerships that can boost investments in tourism technology.
The Summit will continue the conversation on ‘Tourism and the Digital Transformation’ that is set to dominate proceedings for this year’s World Tourism Day official celebration on Thursday 27 September. The event, to be held in Budapest, Hungary, will feature sessions on the role of innovation and technology in tourism development. It will also see the announcement of the semi-finalists of the 1st UNWTO Tourism Startup Competition, launched by UNWTO and Globalia to give visibility to tourism startups with innovative and disruptive ideas.

thank you Miroslav Lajcak for the best UNGA yet

The President of the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Miroslav Lajčák identified sustainable development as a priority. He will convene a meeting on Financing for the Sustainable Development Goals on 11 June 2018, bringing together representatives from World Bank, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), regional development banks, and businesses. The event will provide a platform for stronger public-private partnerships. It also aims to explore what the United Nations can do to better to align itself with the rapidly-changing world of international finance, and to support the 2030 Agenda and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda.

2017-2018 was the year that the UN assembly exposed that 3 years into celebrating 17 sdgs there isnt any scalable financing of them https://www.un.org/pga/72/event-latest/financing-the-sustainable-development-goals/
